The intent of this award is to recognize Michael’s continued promotion of high standards and ethics in the accounting industry. The award was presented at the GAATP’s 2009 conference in Atlanta, GA.

IRS announces tax break on new car purchases available in states with no sales tax. Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009: taxpayers who live in states with sales tax and purchase a new motor vehicle between February 17, 2009 and December 31, 2009 will be entitled to deduct state or local sales or excise taxes paid on the purchase.
